PTA Sponsored Classes
COST: Free for the parents
Most of my classes offered through the Parent Teacher Association groups are free for the parents.
LOCATION: Any school in Washington State
MY FEE (Cost to PTA): $ 350 for a 2 hour session (for up to 15 parents)
SCHEDULE OF CLASSES: Daily: early evenings (after school hours)
Classes By Topic
Level I: Behavior management through positive reinforcement
- Decrease negative behaviors such as, tantrums
- Increase child’s motivation to comply
- Gain some insight into your child’s perspective
- Decrease power struggles with your child
- Teach your child the difference between rights & privileges
- Communicate clearly and effectively
Level II: Advanced cooperation building
(You may be ready for level II if you feel that you are mastering some of the level I skills)
- Foster more independence in your child
- Negotiate (when appropriate) more effectively
- Teach kids how to EARN privileges
- Problem solving techniques that work
- Take charge but learn to share control
- Raise responsible kids NOT have to police them constantly.
Private Classes
COST:
Two HOUR class: $30/per person ($45/per parent pair).
Four-week series are also available: Meeting Once per week. 2 hours each.
Space is limited: Max 12 people per class.
$160 per person for the entire series. (Discounted rate for parent pairs: $130/person)
